Auditing HQ's Energy Usage

Oglethorpe Power has also awarded a bid to conduct a full-scale, Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED)-certified energy audit of its two office buildings. This audit is expected to help identify additional options for reducing the carbon produced by the headquarters buildings.
    Next on the agenda will be the implementation of a more robust recycling program. Although currently recycling paper and plastic, the corporation hopes to decrease waste considerably by finding additional opportunities for recycling. Oglethorpe Power will also investigate the use of recycled office products for future purposes where it makes good business sense.
