OGLETHORPE POWER ANNOUNCES LORI HOLT AS VP, FUELS & ENERGY
ATLANTA, GA (February 24, 2009) – Oglethorpe Power, the nation’s largest power supply cooperative, today announced that it has hired Lori K. Holt as vice president, fuels & energy. In that role, she will be responsible for coal and natural gas procurement and hedging, biomass fuel procurement, operational interfaces and management of contracts, among other duties.
Ms. Holt joins Oglethorpe Power from ACES Power Marketing in Carmel, In., where, as managing director of business development, she successfully expanded the company’s customer base. She has a diverse background in the electric utility industry, including power generation development, energy trading, risk management and natural gas trading.
“We are pleased to have Lori joining Oglethorpe Power to lead our fuels and energy group as we add new power generating facilities to our portfolio to serve our member systems,” said Michael W. Price, executive vice president and chief operating officer.
Ms. Holt graduated with honors from the University of Louisville, where she earned a bachelor of science in business administration degree.
