DENHAM RE-ELECTED CHAIRMAN OF OGLETHORPE POWER BOARD
ATLANTA, GA (March 26,2007) – Benny W. Denham of Sycamore, Ga. was re-elected to a fifth term as chairman of the Oglethorpe Power Corporation Board of Directors at a Board meeting following the corporation’s 2007 Annual Meeting of Members. J. Sam L. Rabun of Louisville, Ga. was re-elected to an eighth term as vice chairman. Each will serve one-year terms.
Denham, a member of the Irwin Electric Membership Corporation (EMC) Board, represents the Southwest Georgia Region on the 13-member Oglethorpe Power Board. Rabun, a member of the Jefferson Energy Cooperative board, is the Central Georgia Region Member Director. Both men were re-elected as Oglethorpe Power Board members at the Annual Meeting of Members.
Also re-elected to the Oglethorpe Power Board were C. Hill Bentley, Tri-County EMC, Central Regional Manager Director; and Gary W. Wyatt, Pataula EMC, SW Regional Manager Director.
